Your library, played
like Apple Music.
Minidisc is an opinionated iPhone player for the music on your own server. Lossless, native, and private, with no accounts, no subscriptions, and no one watching what you listen to.
Free & open source · Requires iOS 26.1

Built to feel like the best

Private by design
Your music stays between
you and your server
Privacy isn't a setting in Minidisc. It's the architecture. Nothing to opt out of, because there was never anything collecting you.
Straight to your server
Every request goes directly from your device to your server. Nothing routes through us, because there is no us to route through.
No accounts, no tracking
No sign-up, no analytics, no advertising identifiers. Minidisc has no idea what you listen to, and it never will.
Credentials in the Keychain
Your username and password live only in the iOS Keychain, encrypted and sandboxed to the app.
Reverse-proxy ready
Send custom HTTP headers for servers behind Cloudflare Access, Authelia, or any reverse proxy you trust.
Open & honest
A narrow app, built in the open
Minidisc is an opinionated fork of Cassette. Where Cassette does everything on Mac and iPhone, Minidisc does one thing: the simplest, smoothest iPhone player for your own library.
iPhone only, on purpose
Every screen is designed for the phone in your hand, not stretched to fit a Mac.
Opinionated by design
Few settings and strong defaults. Minidisc makes the small decisions so you don't have to.
Open source, MPL-2.0
Written in Swift 6 and SwiftUI, forked from Cassette. Read it, build it, make it yours.
